I used to have a house in Glyncorrwg in the Afan Valley , South Wales.
The nearest place with reasonable size supermarkets was Port Talbot, about 11 miles away.
One day I drove from Glyncorrwg to Port Talbot, it was a rainy day.
I saw a man walking with a rucksack on his back.
I stopped and offered him a lift, he accepted and I dropped him off in Port Talbot.
Shortly afterward, a man I knew well, came up and asked me what I was doing giving him a lift.
He went on to say that the man was a local drug dealer known by the nickname monkey.
At least that is what I thought he had said, monkey and munki would sound the same.
